What applies to all public cemeteries in Hamburg

Rest period 25 years, renewable annually. Burial without a coffin, in a shroud, has been permitted since 1998. The 2012 state treaty with the Muslim associations guarantees that the remains in Islamic burial sections stay in the grave even if the plot is reassigned.

For the cemeteries in the Harburg district (Langenbek, Heidefriedhof, Fischbek, Alt-Neugraben) we have not found an Islamic burial section. If you live in the south of Hamburg, Finkenriek in Wilhelmsburg is the closest.
